Habitat: Encyclia withneri is endemic to the island of Andros in the Bahamas. The plants grow on trees and shrubs in shrubby forest habitats.

Grow mounted on cork bark or grow in a slatted basket. The species was named after Dr. Carl Withner who is an American botanist who specializes in Cattleya orchids.
